Maryland Farm & Harvest: Episode 502 Premiere air date: Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 7pm on MPT-HD
In the first story of our "transformation" episode, we'll learn how wool becomes yarn. At the picturesque Shepherd's Hey Farm in Montgomery County, farmer Lee Langstaff cares for her sheep's wool while it's both on and off the animal. But it's up to professional sheep shearer Emily Chamelin to remove the wool in one continuous piece—a task that takes some careful choreography. Then it's off to The Mill at Meadowlands, where Ruth Lamb cleans the wool and spins it into yarn. https://www.facebook.com/ShepherdsHeyFarm/ http://www.themillmeadowlands.com/ http://www.chamelinshearing.org...
